Perunthenaruvi Waterfalls
Located
on the western ghats of the Sahyadri Range in dense Sabarimala forest area,
Perunthenaruvi Waterfalls is a famous waterfall located about 15 km from
Pathanamittha District of Kerala India. Perunthenaruvi means "The Great
Honey Stream" is known for its width but not height. The Waterfalls later
unites with River Pamba. The view that the waterfall gives while making journey
through rocks is spectacular. It is a natural waterfall and is favorite picnic
destination for the local people and tourists. The waterfall meets River Pamba
after flowing through the rock path and cascading through height of 100 feet
down and finally submerges with the river. The waterfalls meeting with river
Pamba is fascinating view.
Best
time visit this place is between March to August when cold breeze flows by you
and making you feel fresh . The waterfall looks beautiful in its width and
small streams coming in between rocks has its own beauty.The place is often
visited by nature lovers and photographers as it offers nature at its best. A
place a waterfall must to be visited.

which is nearest to Pathanamthitta.

Train-Thiruvalla railway station is is located about 30 km from the city and
Chengannur railway station is 26 km away from Pathanamittha.
By
Road– KSRTC has started buses from Chenganuur to the waterfalls. The bus
services starts from 6:00 in the morning.
